Main Cable Installation Completed at 1915Çanakkale Bridge
The last of the 288 steel cables has been spun between the towers of the 1915Çanakkale Bridge, and thus the main cable operations has been completed.
Another critical phase is completed at 1915Çanakkale Bridge, which will be the “Longest Mid-span Suspension Bridge” in the World. With the erection of 288 steel cables, the erection of the main cable operations have been completed. The main cable is composed of 288 steel cables on the main span and 296 steel cables on the side spans.
