Groundbreaking Ceremony
The groundbreaking ceremony for the 1915Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway Project was held on the 18th of March 2017 with the participation of Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan, Republic of South Korea Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation Ho-In Kang, Çanakkale MP Bülent Turan and other members of the protocol.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was attending the commemorative event held at the 18th of March Stadium on the 102nd anniversary of the 18th of March Martyrs’ Day and the Çanakkale Sea Victory. He connected via video conference to the ceremony which was held at Şekerkaya in the district of Lapseki.
